The movie "A Walk to Remember" is my inspiration to be a better person. You might think why would this movie be her inspiration? Well I believe in not judging someone by their past or by what you hear about them. To me everyone deserves a chance to have the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. You can only make a judgement about someone until you get to know that person in depth. So to answer your question, to me this movie has more to it than just a simple romance story, it does great in portraying how people shouldn't be judged by their past. Landon being the typical "bad boy" in the story starts off by getting himself in trouble and his punishment is being part of the school play and tutoring kids on the weekends. These aren't things he typically does but they are things that Jamie does. Jamie is the "good girl" in the story. Jamie and Landon are completely different but they begin speaking. At first it is just as acquaintances and then it becomes much more than that. They begin to date but her father doesn't approve because Landon is known as the "bad boy", he is always getting himself in trouble, he is the popular kid that is always bullying people. Jamie doesn't listen to her father because she sees something more than just a bad boy she begins to see that Landon is actually good. Landon's "popular" friends also don't approve of Jamie because she is the "church girl" she is the nerd that they do not want to socialize with. At first Landon listen's to them and is a complete jerk to Jamie but then he falls in love with her and realizes that she is what he need in order for him to change. Any who these completely different views of judgement show us how judging someone without really knowing them is not right even though it is part of human nature. That is why this movie inspires me to be a better person and not judge people without first getting to know them.

My life
-Who I am-
My name is Dulce and this is who I am. I am an 18-year-old Mexcian girl. I was born on February 15, 1995, in Mexico City, near the Basilica of our lady of Guadalupe. My first two years were happily spent in Mexico living with my mom and grandparents in a small town called San Andres, Timilpan. This place is beautiful, it is filled with mountains draped in green, the trees grow high and mighty and there are animals roaming around. The weather is nothing like Arizona's, their weather is never to hot or never to cold, it is perfection. A few months before my third birthday was when my life took an unexpected change. My dad had come back to Mexico, having been gone for 2 years, made me unaware that he was my father. My parents then decided to migrate to the United States. They had no idea what awaited them here but they knew anywhere else would be better to raise me than living in a one room apartment with not much income. Living in a country that is not your own with a language that you do not speak can be tough but we managed to stay strong and worked hard for what we wanted. Since I was brought here at a young age growing up I quickly learned how to speak and write in English. If it wouldn't have been for my parents reminding me of where I was from and what language I spoke I would have easily forgotten my roots. Going through school and life, my number one motivation has been not disappointing my parents and living the better life that they came here to give me. My parents have raised me to be a woman of good, a woman that works hard to get what she wants. I have two younger brothers, Angel (age 14) and Miguel (age 6), whom I love. They help me keep my life on track because they give me a reason to be a role model. I have always been a studious person, since I was little I loved to be in school. I have always loved to read, in fact I began reading at age 6 and I always read above my reading level. To me reading is an opening to another world or another life that you would live through if it weren't for the book. I am also a great friend. I am the type of friend that is always there wether it's good or bad. I am honest, one because I can't lie, if I lie I start laughing, and two because if i expect other to be honest with me I will do they same. I graduated from Mesa High School on May 2013 and now in September I started attending college.
I have always wanted greatness. Since I was little I have set certain goals for myself. So far i have accomplished a few like graduating high school and getting accepted into a private university. But this is just the beginning for me I am no where near finished with what I want to do with my life. In four years I hope to be graduating from Benedictine University at Mesa. I want to then hold a job in the FBI working in forensic science. My goal is to travel as much as I can, learning about different cultures as I go. Another one of my goals is to one day open my own restaurant. I don't just want to have all this greatness for my own, one day I plan to be an active money donor and volunteer in research for cancer. I also want to have a family and live in a big house. I plan to adopt two kids and have two of my own. I want a big family so my kids never have to be alone. My goal is to accomplish more than half of what I have on my bucket list. I want excellence for myself and my family. I want to be able to help my parents put my brothers through college as well as give back to them for everything they have given me. I have come far in life from were I first started and I expect myself to go further and achieve far more greater things.
