My Inspiration To Be a Better Person

The movie "A Walk to Remember" is my inspiration to be a better person. You might think why would this movie be her inspiration? Well I believe in not judging someone by their past or by what you hear about them. To me everyone deserves a chance to have the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. You can only make a judgement about someone until you get to know that person in depth. So to answer your question, to me this movie has more to it than just a simple romance story, it does great in portraying how people shouldn't be judged by their past. Landon being the typical "bad boy" in the story starts off by getting himself in trouble and his punishment is being part of the school play and tutoring kids on the weekends. These aren't things he typically does but they are things that Jamie does. Jamie is the "good girl" in the story. Jamie and Landon are completely different but they begin speaking. At first it is just as acquaintances and then it becomes much more than that. They begin to date but her father doesn't approve because Landon is known as the "bad boy",  he is always getting himself in trouble, he is the popular kid that is always bullying people. Jamie doesn't listen to her father because she sees something more than just a bad boy she begins to see that Landon is actually good. Landon's "popular" friends also don't approve of Jamie because she is the "church girl" she is the nerd that they do not want to socialize with. At first Landon listen's to them and is a complete jerk to Jamie but then he falls in love with her and realizes that she is what he need in order for him to change. Any who these completely different views of judgement show us how judging someone without really knowing them is not right even though it is part of human nature. That is why this movie inspires me to be a better person and not judge people without first getting to know them.
